General Questions

What is proprietary (prop) trading?
Proprietary trading is when Participants use a firm's capital instead of their own. At NEOM Funded, you trade with simulated capital and can earn performance-based rewards. This allows talented Participants to access larger account sizes without personal financial risk.
Do I need prior trading experience?
While prior experience is helpful, it is not required. We recommend starting with a free demo account to practise, and reviewing our knowledge base to learn about trading strategies and risk management.
Is my personal capital at risk?
No. You only pay the one-time challenge fee. All trading is conducted with simulated (virtual) funds. You never risk the participation fee on trades. Performance Rewards are performance-based rewards calculated from your simulated trading results.
Can Participants from any country participate?
Availability depends on your country of residence. Residents of certain jurisdictions (including the US and others) are not eligible. Check our registration page or contact support to confirm eligibility before purchase.
Do I need to pay taxes on my Performance Rewards?
Tax obligations vary by country and individual circumstances. Performance Rewards from NEOM Funded are performance-based rewards. We recommend consulting a local tax professional to understand your reporting obligations.
How is NEOM Funded different from other prop firms?
We offer flexible forex programmes from NEO EXPRESS to NEO NOVA, competitive Recognition Tiers with Reward Coefficients up to 90%, Performance Rewards on a 14-day Reward Cycle, and a clear path to a funded simulated account on MetaTrader 5. Our transparent rules and free demo accounts make it easy to get started.

Challenges & Evaluations

What types of challenges do you offer?
We offer five forex programmes: NEO NOVA, NEO DUO, NEO EXPRESS, and NEO ACCESS. Each has different targets, risk limits, balances, and reward cycles. Visit our challenges page to compare all options.
What is the difference between NEO NOVA and NEO DUO?
NEO DUO is a 2-Step evaluation ideal for newer Participants, with lower entry fees and simulated balances from $5K to $100K. NEO NOVA is a 1-Step evaluation with larger simulated balances up to $150K. Both offer Reward Coefficients up to 90%. See our comparison page for full details.
Can I have multiple challenge accounts?
Yes, you can hold multiple active challenges at the same time. Many Participants run several accounts to diversify strategies. Each account is evaluated independently based on its own rules and objectives.
What happens if I fail a challenge?
If you breach a rule during the evaluation, the challenge ends and you will need to purchase a new one to try again. We recommend practising on a free demo account first to build confidence before purchasing a challenge.
Is there a time limit to pass a challenge?
Most of our challenges have no maximum time limit, giving you the freedom to trade at your own pace. However, there is a minimum trading days requirement that varies by programme. Check our rules page for specifics.
Which forex plan is the most popular?
NEO DUO is our most popular forex challenge – an 8% Phase 1 goal (plus 5% in Phase 2), balances from $5K to $100K, and up to 90% reward on MetaTrader 5. Explore all plans on our challenges page.

Payments & Performance Rewards

How do I receive my profit Performance Rewards?
Performance Rewards are processed bi-weekly. You can request a Performance Reward issuance through your dashboard once you meet the minimum Performance Reward threshold. Funds are sent via bank transfer, cryptocurrency, or other supported methods depending on your region.
What is the minimum Performance Reward amount?
The minimum Performance Reward amount is typically $50. Once your simulated funded evaluation account profits exceed this threshold, you can request a Performance Reward issuance during the next bi-weekly Performance Reward cycle through your participant dashboard.
How long do Performance Rewards take to process?
Performance Reward requests are reviewed and processed within 1-3 business days. Cryptocurrency Performance Rewards are generally faster, while bank transfers may take an additional 2-5 business days depending on your bank and location.
What Reward Coefficient do I receive?
Reward Coefficients range from 70% to 90% depending on your programme. NEO NOVA and NEO DUO start at Recognition Tier 80 with a Tier 90 add-on, NEO EXPRESS is fixed at Tier 70, and NEO ACCESS progresses from Tier 70 up to Tier 90 as you complete Performance Rewards. See our rules page for how Recognition Tiers work.
Can I receive Performance Rewards in cryptocurrency?
Yes. We support crypto Performance Rewards in addition to traditional bank transfers. You can choose your preferred Performance Reward method in your dashboard settings. Crypto Performance Rewards are processed faster and have lower fees.

Trading Rules

What are the drawdown limits?
Limits depend on the challenge. Daily drawdown runs from 3% to 5% of the day's starting balance, and total drawdown from 4% to 8% of your initial balance. Both are monitored in real time, and breaching either ends the evaluation. On the most popular NEO DUO challenge the limits are 5% daily and 8% total.
What is the Evaluation Goal?
Evaluation Goals vary by challenge and phase. The two-step NEO DUO uses 8% in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2. One-step challenges range from 3% on NEO ACCESS to 6% on NEO NOVA, while NEO EXPRESS follows a Pay-After-You-Pass evaluation. Check the specific challenge page for exact figures.
Are there minimum trading days?
It depends on the challenge. Some have no minimum at all; others require between 1 and 5 trading days. For example, NEO DUO requires 4 trading days and NEO EXPRESS requires 5. A trading day counts once you open and close at least one position.
Can I hold trades over the weekend?
Weekend holding depends on the challenge. It is allowed on most, including NEO DUO, but not on NEO NOVA. Always confirm the policy for your specific challenge in the Rules by Challenge Type table on our rules page.
Is news trading allowed?
Yes. News trading is allowed on all NEOM Funded challenges, with no restrictions around high-impact events such as NFP, CPI, or FOMC. You can trade the release however you like.

Platforms & Technology

Which trading platforms are available?
We offer MetaTrader 5 (MT5). MT5 is the industry standard with advanced charting and full EA support, available on desktop, web, and mobile.
Can I switch platforms after purchasing a challenge?
The platform is selected at the time of purchase and generally cannot be changed mid-challenge. If you are unsure which platform to choose, we recommend trying both on a free demo account first.
Does MetaTrader 5 support Expert Advisors?
Yes. MetaTrader 5 offers full MetaQuotes EA support (.mq5 files) along with MQL5 scripting and the Strategy Tester for backtesting. MT5 offers desktop, web, and mobile access.
Are mobile apps available?
Yes. MT5 has mobile apps for iOS and Android, allowing you to manage your trades, monitor positions, and analyse charts on the go. Your account credentials work across all device types.
What leverage is offered?
Leverage varies by programme and instrument. Forex challenges typically offer up to 1:50 leverage on majors. The exact leverage for each programme is displayed on the challenge configuration page before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions About Prop Trading at NEOM Funded

Getting started with prop trading raises many questions, and NEOM Funded is committed to providing clear, honest answers. Below you will find comprehensive information about our evaluation process, Performance Reward procedures, trading rules, and everything else you need to know before purchasing a simulated evaluation participation challenge.

The Evaluation Process

NEOM Funded evaluations are designed to identify skilled Participants who can manage risk effectively. Depending on the challenge type you choose, you will need to reach a Evaluation Goal (typically 8-10% for one-phase or 8% then 5% for two-phase evaluations) while staying within daily and maximum drawdown limits. There is no time limit on most evaluations, meaning you can trade at your own pace without pressure. Once you meet the Evaluation Goal, your account is reviewed and funded within 24 hours.

Performance Rewards and Reward Coefficients

Funded Participants at NEOM Funded receive Reward Coefficients starting at 80% and scaling up to 90% based on challenge type and VIP tier. Performance Rewards are processed on the same day for most requests, with an average processing time of 8 hours. We support multiple Performance Reward issuance methods to accommodate Participants in many countries. There are no minimum Performance Reward issuance amounts on most plans, and your first Performance Reward can be requested as early as day 5 on certain challenge types.
