Live forex sessions
Open/closed status computed from your own clock in real time. The four major FX sessions overlap through the day – liquidity peaks where they stack.
Syncing to your clock…Session hours are UTC approximations and shift by an hour around daylight-saving changes (DST); weekends are treated as closed. Use as a liquidity guide, not an exact schedule.

FAQ
Trading Hours – Global Forex Sessions and Schedules
The NEOM Funded Simulated Evaluation Participation Hours tool provides a comprehensive guide to market opening and closing times across the instruments available on our platform. Understanding when markets are active is essential for planning your trading schedule, identifying periods of peak liquidity, and managing positions around session transitions on your simulated funded evaluation account.
Forex Market Hours
The forex market operates 24 hours a day, five days a week, structured around four major trading sessions. The Sydney session opens at 22:00 GMT, followed by Tokyo at 00:00 GMT, London at 08:00 GMT, and New York at 13:00 GMT. The most active and liquid trading period is the London-New York overlap (13:00-17:00 GMT), when both European and American markets are simultaneously active. This overlap typically produces the tightest spreads and highest volatility on major pairs.
Metals Hours
Gold (XAU/USD) and silver (XAG/USD) trade on the same MetaTrader 5 forex feed, following the global forex schedule from Sunday evening through Friday close with a short daily maintenance break. Check the tool for the exact open/close windows that apply to each instrument on your NEOM Funded account.
Session Overlaps – When to Trade
- London-New York Overlap (13:00-17:00 GMT): Highest forex liquidity, tightest spreads, and most significant price movements for EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/CHF.
- Tokyo-London Overlap (08:00-09:00 GMT): Active for EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY, and Asian cross pairs.
- Sydney-Tokyo Overlap (00:00-06:00 GMT): Best for AUD and NZD pairs alongside JPY crosses.
